Fabric Description
Woven by a weaver in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, renowned for its yarn-dyed cotton. The colour selected from countless yarn shades was reportedly a ‘colour woven for the first time’, resulting in a captivating fabric with depth created by the layered shades of chambray. The thickness and texture were also discussed during production, making this a truly unique fabric.
Extra-long staple cotton possesses an elegant sheen reminiscent of silk, despite being cotton.
Furthermore, extra-long staple cotton excels in numerous aspects: feel against the skin, strength, moisture absorption, moisture release, lightness, and more.
It also possesses a distinctive, soft, supple feel.
The use of traditional slow-speed looms and low-temperature tumbling processing results in a relaxed, textured finish unique to this weaver's craftsmanship.
