Fabric Description

This fabric is woven by a weaver in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, a renowned region for yarn-dyed cotton. The color, selected from countless thread shades, is reportedly a “first-time weave” for them. It creates a deep, captivating fabric with layers of chambray hues. The thickness and texture were also carefully discussed, resulting in a truly unique fabric.

Extra-long staple cotton possesses a refined, silk-like luster despite being cotton.

Furthermore, extra-long staple cotton excels in various aspects: softness against the skin, strength, moisture absorption, moisture release, lightness, and more.

Its distinctive, velvety feel is also a hallmark.

Traditional low-speed looms and low-temperature tumbler finishing create a relaxed, textured feel unique to this weaver's craftsmanship.
