※ FUNI (不二) = A Buddhist term meaning “two yet not two (one thing)”. While it seems contradictory and difficult to grasp at first, it represents the concept of “non-discrimination”. Both parts certainly exist, but neither can be defined as the other, nor can either be labeled as something specific. It signifies a state where one cannot be attached to or fixated on either.

Each piece is individually hand-dyed at Kyoto Hozu Ai Kobo to ensure the indigo does not bleed onto the plain areas.

The indigo color, revealed through subtle fading, is uniquely beautiful in every shade.

＜Wearing Precautions＞

Avoid wearing with light-colored items as friction or water may cause color transfer or fading.

＜Washing Instructions＞

Hand wash only

Indigo Dye / We pre-wash each piece before delivery. If fading becomes noticeable during wear, washing it several times will help stabilize the color.

To minimize color transfer and fading, always hand wash separately by soaking (this slows fading). Use a neutral detergent only if the item is heavily soiled.

Do not use a washing machine spin cycle. Indigo will transfer to plain areas.

Squeeze gently by hand, turn inside out, and dry in the shade.

*The water may turn blue as color is released, but stains on the basin, hands, or other items that have transferred color can be removed with detergent.
